This is a nine decade old building converted into a heritage hotel and managed by the WelcomHeritage group. It is an interesting property, unlike a typical hotel, with 22 rooms. Mahatma Gandhi stayed in the building for a day many years ago. The owner, Mr Dalal, stays on the site and explains with passion its interesting history. The restaurant serves (only) vegetarian cuisine which is nice, though the breakfast spread needs improvement. The small garden has some fascinating art pieces. Despite proximity to city centre, the hotel is not prone to noise, as it is in a bylane. The wifi connectivity could be better. The bed height might be uncomfortable for some, as also the lack of enough furniture in the smaller rooms.
